Here, we compile the latest developments, knowledge, and insights regarding the August 2026 Oracle Update.

Oracle EPM Cloud 26.08: Smart, Simple, Solid

The Oracle EPM Cloud 26.08 update includes many minor improvements. Three of them stand out to us because they address day-to-day management, automation, and the user experience.

1. Smart – More Options for Dashboards

Dashboard 2.0 will feature a new scrollable layout. With this layout, a dashboard no longer needs to fit entirely within a single screen. Forms, grids, and visualizations can be arranged one below the other, allowing the user to scroll through the dashboard.

In addition, Oracle is introducing Sankey charts. These charts allow you to visually represent value flows and their interrelationships. For example, they can be used to illustrate how values are distributed across dimensions, components, or hierarchies. The new chart is available in Planning and FCC, among other applications.

A quick note about Scrollable Dashboards: You must select the layout when creating a new dashboard. An existing dashboard cannot be converted to Scrollable after the fact.

2. Simple – Data Integration manages the queue itself

Starting many integrations at the same time isn't always faster.

With Data Integration Job Queuing, Oracle is therefore introducing the "Max Parallel Jobs" setting. This allows an administrator to specify how many Data Integration jobs are allowed to run simultaneously. The value can be set between 1 and 30.

If this limit is reached, new jobs are automatically placed in a queue and started as soon as capacity becomes available.

This makes it easier to keep large batches manageable and prevents too many simultaneous integrations from putting unnecessary strain on the environment.

3. Solid – Check your EPM Automate scripts before December

Version 26.08 also includes an important announcement for organizations that use EPM Automate.

Starting September 26, Oracle is introducing a new format for encrypted password files (.epw). As of the December 26 update, EPM Automate clients older than version 26.09 will no longer be supported, and EPM Cloud will only accept .epw files in the new format.

Oracle therefore recommends that, after the 26.09 update, you upgrade EPM Automate to version 26.09 or higher and recreate existing encrypted password files.

So, no problem yet in August, but it’s something to add to the management agenda. Especially when EPM Automate is part of scheduled data loads, backups, or other business-critical processes.

Smart | Simple | Solid: better dashboards for users, more control over integrations, and timely preparation for changes in automation.
