Meet Martijn Nauta, senior EPM consultant at Bart & Partners.
What is your background?
I have been working on the cutting edge of IT and finance all my life. First for many years at Ballast Nedam, starting in the IT department and ending in the consolidation department. Later at Sara Lee and Akzo Nobel, among others. The common thread: working with an EPM tool. At Ballast Nedam, this was Hyperion Enterprise at the time. At Sara Lee it was HFM. And currently I am involved with OneStream.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to do nice things with the family or with friends. A barbecue, walking on the beach, drinking wine. That sort of thing. And taking my children to horse riding, haha.
What is your speciality?
Consolidation and financial reporting, especially within OneStream.
Why Bart & Partners?
First of all because of my good relationship with Bart van Velzen, with whom I have worked very well before. I know exactly what I can expect from him. In addition, I enjoy working for a smaller company. It is a bit looser. And I could start with a great OneStream project at Ingram Micro. In a role that suits me well.
What do you like about your work?
I enjoy talking to finance people about financial challenges and then devising and implementing a technical solution for them. That gives me great satisfaction. Making finance departments work more pleasantly and efficiently, making everyone happy.
What do you think is typical for Bart & Partners?
The much-vaunted no-nonsense approach is truly Bart & Partners. Everything is aimed at getting things just right. Open and transparent. And I also have very nice, inspiring colleagues to work with. They are all people I can learn a lot from. That also applies to the independent partners at Bart & Partners.
