Wat is je achtergrond?
Ik ben geboren in Roemenië waar ik afstudeerde aan de Polytechnische Universiteit van Boekarest. Mijn carrière startte met een stage bij Oracle. Daarna werkte ik er als operations manager en later als pre-sales consultant. In 2013 zijn mijn man en ik naar Nederland verhuisd. Hier vervolgde ik mijn carrière bij een Oracle partner, waar ik kennismaakte met EPM en technisch EPM consultant werd. Mijn laatste werkgever voor Bart & Partners was een Amerikaans bedrijf waar ik werkte als accountmanager voor het supportteam.
Wat houdt jouw job als Lead Partner Technical EPM Services in?
Ik ben verantwoordelijk voor alle technische aspecten van EPM: van ontwerp, upgrades, implementatie, managed services tot technische en applicatie ondersteuning. Momenteel ben ik betrokken bij technische EPM upgrade projecten. Het gaat daarbij om installatie, configuratie en migraties van vorige versies naar de laatste versie. Daarnaast volg ik trainingen op het gebied van cloud infrastructuur zodat ik in de nabije toekomst kan overschakelen naar dit gebied.
Hoe ben je bij Bart & Partners terechtgekomen?
Op een gegeven moment ben ik in contact gekomen met Bart van Velzen. Hij vroeg me of ik interesse had om weer in de EPM-wereld te stappen. En eerlijk gezegd miste ik het hands-on technische werk heel erg. Daarom heb ik deze keuze gemaakt en ben ik blij dat ik hierin ben teruggekeerd.
Waarom heb je voor Bart & Partners gekozen?
Ik heb met zowel Bart van Velzen als met Bart Vringer gesprekken gehad. Allereerst waardeer ik ze enorm als personen en waardeer de manier waarop ze werken en hun oprechtheid. Dat was een van de belangrijkste redenen waarom ik koos voor Bart & Partners. Ook had ik goede dingen gehoord van enkele ex-collega’s die al voor Bart & Partners werkten. En zoals ik al zei, ik miste het technische EPM-werk.
Wat vind je leuk aan jouw werk?
Dat geen project hetzelfde is. Elke project is uniek. Elke klant is uniek. Ieder mens is uniek. Dit blijft me uitdagen. Naast technische vaardigheden vereist mijn job ook soft skills. Dat vind ik een aantrekkelijke combinatie.
Je werkt nu een maand bij Bart & Partners. Hoe ervaar je je nieuwe baan?
Ik kan zeggen dat ik me herken in de kernwaarden van het bedrijf. Waarden als vertrouwen, focus, eenvoud, ‘can-do’ en verantwoordelijkheid nemen. Ik vind beide Barts zeer goede leiders en hou van hun leiderschapsstijl: ‘leading by example’. Ze leveren zelf werk van hoge kwaliteit en dit motiveert ons allen consistent werk van hoge kwaliteit te leveren. Daarnaast mag ik mijn collega’s heel graag. Ik denk dat zij de beste professionals zijn in hun domein. Maar wat ik nog belangrijker vind: het zijn ook geweldige mensen.

“Every person is unique”
Meet Bianca Radu, Lead Partner Technical EPM Services. On the 10th of January 2022 the Bart & Partners team was joined by Bianca Radu. Time to introduce her.
What is your background?
I was born in Romania and I graduated from Polytechnic University of Bucharest. My career started with an internship at Oracle, then continued within Oracle as an operations manager and later as a pre-sales consultant. In 2013, my husband and I moved to the Netherlands. Here I continued my career at a large Oracle EPM-partner, where I was introduced to EPM and became a technical EPM consultant. My last employer before Bart & Partners was an American corporation where I worked as an account manager for the support team.
What does your job as Lead Partner Technical EPM Services entail?
I am in charge of every technical aspect of EPM: from design, upgrades, implementation and managed services to technical infrastructure and application support. Currently I am involved in technical EPM upgrade projects, consisting of installation, configuration and migrations from previous versions to the latest version. Also, I am getting trained on cloud infrastructure and in the near future I will make a shift into this area.
How did you end up at Bart & Partners?
At a certain point Bart van Velzen contacted me. He asked me if I was interested in getting back into the EPM world. To be honest, I was missing the hands-on technical work a lot. So decision made to go back and to do what I enjoy most.
Why did you choose Bart & Partners?
Initially I spoke to both Bart van Velzen and Bart Vringer. First of all, I like them a lot as persons and appreciate the way they work and their honesty. That was one of the main reasons I wanted to join Bart & Partners. Also, I heard good things from some ex-colleagues who now work at Bart & Partners. And like I said, I was missing the technical EPM work.
What do you like about your job?
The fact that no project is the same. Each implementation is unique. Every customer is unique. Every person is unique. This keeps challenging me. In addition to technical skills, my job also requires soft skills. I think that’s an attractive combination.
You have been working at Bart & Partners for a month now. How do you experience your new job?
I can say that I recognize myself in the core values of the company. Values like trust, focus, simplicity, ‘can-do’ and taking responsibility. I find both Barts very good leaders and I enjoy their leadership style: ‘leading by example’. So they deliver high quality work and this motivates all of us to deliver consistently high quality work. Additionally I like my colleagues a lot. I think they are the best professionals in their domain. But what I find even more important: they are also wonderful people.
